On-Site Occupational Therapy (OT)
OUR SERVICES
ADL and function-focused OT within secure settings to improve safe independence, reduce injuries, and align care with custody protocols.
What it is
ADL and function-focused rehabilitation delivered in secure settings—helping people dress, transfer, work, and participate safely and independently.
Who it’s for
ADL limitations, post-injury/post-op function, UE/hand rehab
Cognitive/behavioral barriers affecting safe participation and self-care
Aging adults, neurologic involvement (mild/moderate), or deconditioning
How it works
Evaluation (45–60 min): Functional history, ADL screen, UE/hand assessment, environment needs
Plan of care: Goal-driven interventions (ADL training, joint protection, energy conservation, fine-motor retraining)
Environment fit: Activity and space modifications that respect custody rules
Coordination: Align with nursing/medical, case managers, and work-assignment leads
What to expect
Practical, carry-over friendly strategies (safe transfers, grooming, workstation setup)
Hand/wrist protocols for repetitive tasks (kitchen, laundry, maintenance)
Clear milestones and return-to-duty guidance where applicable
Documentation in your EHR, with QA and progress summaries
Facility requirements
Small, consistent treatment space; table/chair access; permission for portable kits
Benefits
Safer, more independent ADLs and fewer injury flare-ups
Reduced grievances tied to functional limitations
Audit-ready documentation aligned with NCCHC/ACA expectations
Getting started
Begin with a focused caseload (e.g., UE/hand + ADLs), then expand to additional units based on outcomes.
