Inside secure clinic rooms, you’ll help people reduce pain, restore function, and move with dignity. By treating musculoskeletal issues on-site, facilities avoid costly transports and staff time off the floor. Your work delivers better care for patients—and a stronger system for everyone.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide 1:1 on-site OT sessions (and occasional small-group mobility) in a secure clinic room.

  • Focus on pain relief, graded strength/mobility, gait/balance, and functional goals (stairs, bunk transfers, work tasks).

  • Use minimal-equipment approaches; escalate imaging/PCP/specialists when clinically warranted.

  • Document directly in the facility using streamlined workflows and templates.

  • Coordinate with facility staff such as nursing, medical directors, case managers, and custody to keep care safe and efficient.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Valid Occ therapy license in OR.

  • Currently living in/near Portland, OR.

    • DRIVE TIME REIMBURSEMENT AVAILABLE

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.

  • A strong sense of empathy and compassion for serving others.

  • A growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional patient care experience in the orthopedic setting.

  • Socially conscious, mission-driven, and energized by serving underserved populations.

  • Confident, versatile clinician comfortable improvising with limited equipment.

  • Team-oriented communicator who collaborates seamlessly with custody and medical staff.

  • Adaptable, grounded, and open-minded in unique settings.
